So just this year I started really liking nail polish DON’T FALL ASLEEP IT GETS BETTER, and in so doing I stumbled across this hilariously insane woman, Lynderella, who makes amazing nail polish. Who knew that the stereotype of “genius artist = crazy person” could possibly hold true for a nail polish designer, but it really does. This is some really good nail polish, guys. I love reading her blog because even though it is supposed to be a blog STRICTLY to sell her nail polish, it always has something in it about how she can’t please everyone and maybe she should give up and why are people so hateful and she’s only one woman she makes this all herself, she really needs to remind everyone again that she’s only one woman, and now people are selling it on ebay which she finds immobilizing, and did she mention she does this all herself? Oh, I love crazy people in unexpected places. The last entry started out kind of peacefully and I was like, “maybe she won’t say anything crazy!” but then of course it went into this diatribe that I will just post a snippet of:
“I know that Lynnderella products have been in short supply. That is the way things will be until someone clones me. Please understand that it’s not being done to hurt any one’s feelings. These are handmade products and that is not going to change. Handmade for nails is the story here. I will try to have several sales this month and maybe next month, too. If the store closes, it’s only because my mailbox is crashing.”
Who are these people who’s feelings are getting hurt because Lynderella ran out of product? I don’t know if I’m doing it justice, but if you follow her even for a bit you’ll see her glorious colors (ACCIDENTAL PUN!!). Anyway, she makes pretty great nail polish, ladies:
